The general qualiy picture on the whole is clear, but it depends where you are. Obviously if you are below ground the reception is poor but that is obvious. A great thing is the AV in. This means that you can plug your DVD player or games console to it and see the picture (although rather small.) The fact that it needs 10x AA batteries is rather annoying, but is much better than being tied down because you need to plug it into a wall socket.
