I have had this Hitachi for about a year, I must say it is one of the best available big brand LCD TV for the money spent, fantastic sound and colours, the only reason I have not given it the 5 stars is because it is a bit slow in changing in aux channels [tv to hdmi or PC] else it has picture in picture, hue temprature and a very good remote control along with all the usual functions, touch wood I have had no issues so far; highly recommended.
Rating: - 18 month life
18 months in, this set stopped working. Local repairman trying to source second hand motherboard for it, as a new replacement from Hitachi costs £350. I'm actually better off buying a completely new TV. Repairman: "If you're going to buy shoddily-made Chinese products, buy with a 5 year warranty. Chinese TVs will ALL fail within two years".
