Rating: - Brilliant value for money
This is a stellar piece of equipment. I have a computer science degree, so I was quite maticulous in my search for a descent projector, and I have definitely found the right one. I have no idea why anyone would spend towards a grand for a 40-50inch tv when you can get a hd projector for less than half the price.

Pondered long and hard about what to buy - a bigger TV (I currently own a 28" CRT), or a projector. This bad boy was what I went for. Now don't get me wrong, the projector is tip top. Small, light(ish), and threw a cracking clear image from a 360 onto my wall. BUT (and here's my word of warning), I would think again about buying ANY projector if your room is small to medium in size. Bought from Amazon and arrived very quickly and undamaged. Set up was easy and mounted on a ceiling bracket with a 10m HDMI lead to the blueray player. Negatively - small amount of rainbow effect (but only if you look for it), not a quiet as a whisper but when watching a good movie, you do not notice it.

For those of you wondering if you can justify spending £400+ on a projector, it's worth it, I shop on Amazon all the time but this is the first time I have ever felt compelled to write a review.
It arrived the day after I ordered, which was a great start. I now have it hooked up to my computer as I'm typing this as well as a PS3.
Watching movies, playing computer games, TV - It all looks great.

this is my first projector and im glad i choose the optoma HD700x.
after fiddling with my setup it was running after 10mins.
Great picture (even in the daytime or with the lights on!). my set up is:picture size 3x6 feet-when projector is placed 3 metres from flat, white painted wall. this size can be increased or decreased using the settings (so you dont have to move the projector at all). the picture can also be adjusted if the optima is on a slant to stop a 'pyramid effect' and keep the picture ...
